The right forms, filled from the job

  • Starts a DNO application from a solar job, with the customer details filled in
  • Picks the right forms from the kit and capacity: G98 Form A or B (including Form B for each premises on multi-premises jobs), G99 fast track or full application, and the G99 post-commissioning forms
  • G100 Appendix B export limitation form, with the export limitation details
  • Uses the job, the solar project, commissioning details and your device library (make, model, kW, amps, phases)
  • Look up devices on the ENA register: searches it for inverters, batteries and other generation devices, and fills in the ENA reference, compliance status, kW, phases and G98/G99 type-test status where the field is blank, for you to check
  • Checks the details and flags anything missing
  • Submit to ENA Connect Direct from the app, after you review the application: G98 and G99 solar and battery applications where every device is on the ENA device register, and EV chargers, under 17kW per phase
  • A single line diagram drawn from the devices, with a title block and check flags
  • A site and location plan on an OpenStreetMap base, with the boundary, equipment markers, north arrow and scale
  • A slot for the cut-out photo
  • Systems of 17kW or more single phase, or 50kW or more, flagged for the DNO
  • G100 or export-limited setups, and changes to existing applications, still use the prepared forms and a draft email to the DNO, which you check and send yourself
  • A draft email to the DNO that you open in your own mail program and attach the pack to. CircuitHQ doesn't send it

Direct submission to ENA Connect Direct is live for G98 and G99 solar and battery applications where every device is on the ENA device register, and EV chargers, under 17kW per phase. You review the application and submit it from the app. G100 or export-limited setups, and changes to existing applications, still use the prepared forms and a draft email to the DNO, which you check and send yourself.

DNO application tracking

Questions

Does CircuitHQ do DNO forms?+

Yes. CircuitHQ prepares your G98 and G99 forms, and the G100 Appendix B export limitation form, from the job details. For G98 and G99 solar and battery applications where every device is on the ENA device register, and EV chargers, under 17kW per phase, you review the application and submit it to ENA Connect Direct from the app. G100 or export-limited setups, and changes to existing applications, still use the prepared forms and a draft email to the DNO, which you check and send yourself. It picks the right forms from the kit and capacity, and flags anything missing first. The forms are laid out in the format of the ENA EREC G98 and G99 forms. CircuitHQ isn't endorsed by the ENA or any DNO, and the DNO decides whether to accept a connection. Each job also has a DNO status (draft, sent, more info requested, approved, rejected or withdrawn) with a dated history, and you update it as the DNO replies. DNO applications have their own menu, so you can start one from any job, any customer, or on its own. It's on every plan.

Does CircuitHQ get updates from the DNO?+

No. You update the status as the DNO replies. Apart from the applications you submit to ENA Connect Direct, CircuitHQ doesn't contact the DNO.

What does the ENA register lookup do?+

It searches the ENA register for inverters, batteries and other generation devices, and fills in the ENA reference, compliance status, kW, phases and G98/G99 type-test status where the field is blank, for you to check. It isn't an ENA product, and the ENA doesn't endorse CircuitHQ.

Does CircuitHQ email the DNO for me?+

No. For G100 or export-limited setups, changes to existing applications, and anything else that doesn't go through ENA Connect Direct, it makes a draft email to the DNO that you open in your own mail program and attach the pack to. CircuitHQ doesn't send the email itself.

Do I need a G98 notification or a G99 application?+

Broadly, G98 is for fully type-tested kit up to 16A per phase in total, and you notify the DNO within 28 days of commissioning. G99 is for anything bigger, or kit that isn't fully type tested, and you apply before installing. CircuitHQ picks the forms from the kit and capacity. Our G98 vs G99 guide explains the difference.

How do I try it?+

Start a 14-day free trial, or request a free demo. DNO forms are in the demo through its sample MCS solar job, including the single line diagram and the cut-out photo. The ENA register lookup and the site plan map are off in the demo, where a plain plan is offered instead.
