EICR app
EICR app and certificate software for UK electricians
Electrical certificate software that runs on your phone. Produce EICR, EIC and Minor Works certificates as PDFs on your phone, in the familiar BS 7671 layout, updated for BS 7671:2018+A4:2026. Photograph the board and CircuitHQ pre-fills the circuit schedule for you to check.
- EICR, EIC and Minor Works certificates as PDFs
- AI board reading fills the empty circuit fields
- C1, C2, C3 and FI observations feed the overall result
- On the job, next to the quote and the invoice
Snap the board, check the schedule
The slowest part of any EICR or EIC is copying the board onto paper. CircuitHQ does the first pass, and you stay in control of every entry.
Photograph the board
Take a photo of the distribution board or consumer unit on your phone.
CircuitHQ reads it
It fills the empty circuit fields with the circuits, devices and ratings it can see, marked in amber for you to check.
Check, test, issue
Correct anything that needs it, add your test results and issue the certificate on the job.
AI reading isn't always accurate and doesn't replace testing. It doesn't read multifunction tester screens: you add your test results.
EICR, EIC and Minor Works certificates
Every certificate sits on a job, with a clear draft, complete and issued workflow.
Draft, complete, issued
Mark complete warns you about missing signatures and dates. Issued certificates are locked, and reopening one is logged.
Check cert and Fill blanks
Checks for missing or inconsistent entries and spelling, with one-tap fixes.
EICR observations
C1, C2, C3 and FI observations feed the overall result. The next inspection date is set for you, or you can set it by hand.
Sign on screen
Sign on the phone or tablet at the end of the job.
Saved circuits and clients
Reuse design details for circuits and clients. Test results are never reused.
Test instruments and spellcheck
Your test instruments are filled in for you, with a UK English spellcheck that knows electrical words.
Regulation updates, always free
When BS 7671 or the forms change, we update CircuitHQ and you never pay extra for it.
Import old certificates
Bring in an old certificate PDF and AI reads it in for you to check.
Certificates aren't official IET, NICEIC or NAPIT forms. Check cert helps you spot gaps; it doesn't guarantee compliance.
EICR renewals and remedial work, found for you
Leads looks through the certificates and jobs you already have and shows you the work that's coming up.
- EICR renewals coming due, from next-inspection dates
- Landlord certificates expiring
- C1, C2, C3 and FI observations not yet quoted, with a prefilled quote of one line per observation
- Invoice the remedial work from the same job
CircuitHQ never emails, texts or calls anyone itself. You decide who to contact.
Made for the phone in your hand
- Works in the browser on your phone, tablet or PC
- Install the phone app from your browser. It works on poor signal: jobs you've already opened open without signal and edits sync when you're back online
- PDFs are built on the phone. Deleting, attachments, AI reads, the map, postcode lookup and the ENA register lookup need signal
- Native Android and iOS apps are coming soon.

Questions
Which certificates can CircuitHQ produce?+
EICR, EIC, Minor Works, PV test report, PV commissioning sheet and PAT certificates, as PDFs in the familiar BS 7671 layout, updated for BS 7671:2018+A4:2026.
Is it updated for BS 7671 Amendment 4 (A4:2026)?+
Yes. The certificates use the familiar BS 7671 layout, updated for BS 7671:2018+A4:2026. They aren't official IET, NICEIC or NAPIT forms, and CircuitHQ isn't endorsed by any of them.
Will I pay extra when BS 7671 changes?+
No. Regulation updates are always free. When BS 7671 or the forms change, we update CircuitHQ and you never pay extra for it, whatever plan you're on.
Does the AI read my multifunction tester?+
No. AI reads a photo of the board to pre-fill the circuit schedule, and you add your test results. The only tester display it reads is a PAT tester's, for PAT test reports.
Does it check my EICR for mistakes?+
Check cert looks for missing or inconsistent entries and spelling, with one-tap fixes, and Mark complete warns you about missing signatures and dates. It helps you spot gaps, but it doesn't guarantee compliance: you're still responsible for the certificate.
Is CircuitHQ EICR software or an app?+
Both. It's EICR and electrical certificate software that runs in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer, and you can install it on your phone from the browser. Certificates sit on the job next to the quote and the invoice. See how it compares with iCertifi, Tradecert and EasyCert on our EICR software compared page.
How do I try it?+
Start a 14-day free trial, with 50 AI reads and no card needed to start. Or request a free demo: once your request is approved you'll get a login to a demo account filled with sample data, where AI reads return sample results (up to 20 a day). The sample data resets every night.
