Questions
What is the best EICR software in the UK?+
It depends on how you work. If you only need certificates and want fully offline working, iCertifi or Tradecert may suit you. If you'd rather buy a PC licence, EasyCert does that. If you want certificates on the same job as quotes, invoices, PAT, solar MCS paperwork and DNO forms, that's what CircuitHQ is built for.
Does CircuitHQ do the BS 7671 A4:2026 forms?+
Yes. EICR, EIC and Minor Works certificates use the familiar BS 7671 layout, updated for BS 7671:2018+A4:2026. They're CircuitHQ's own forms, not official IET, NICEIC or NAPIT forms, and CircuitHQ isn't endorsed by them.
Does CircuitHQ work offline?+
It works on poor signal and syncs when you're back online, but it isn't fully offline. iCertifi and Tradecert both say they work offline.
Can CircuitHQ read my tester's screen?+
Only a PAT tester's display. For EICRs, it fills empty circuit fields from a photo of the board and imports old certificate PDFs. iCertifi's Test Vision reads the meter screen.
How much does CircuitHQ cost?+
Solo is £29 a month + VAT, Team is £79 + VAT for 5 users and Business is £179 + VAT for 20 users, with 200, 1,000 or 3,000 AI reads a month. The 14-day free trial includes 50 AI reads and needs no card.
