CircuitHQ

For solar PV installers

Solar installer software with MCS paperwork built in

Most job apps treat solar as just another trade. CircuitHQ was built by an installer who does PV every week, so the MCS paperwork installers need is part of the job, next to the electrical certificates, the quote and the invoice.

  • Guided 13-stage MCS pipeline
  • PV test and commissioning certificates
  • RECC contract with cancellation form
  • G98 and G99 DNO forms, with ENA Connect Direct submission

A guided 13-stage MCS pipeline

Each solar job follows a guided pipeline, with clause-referenced checklists (MIS 3002 Issue 6.0).

From survey to handover

Survey on your headed paper, design, estimate with sun path, quote, RECC contract with cancellation form, installation, MCS certificate registration record, feedback and handover pack. The MCS certificate itself comes from MCS or your certification body.

Reminders in the app

Cooling-off, G98 28 days, G99, Building Regs 21 days, MCS registration, feedback and document expiries. Reminders show in the app; they aren't emailed.

QMS registers and assessment export

QMS registers, an assessment-ready view, and an assessment export with register CSVs.

PV certificates, photos and design

PV test and commissioning

PV test report and commissioning sheet with string tests, inverter and array details, on the same job as the electrical certificates.

Commissioning photos

Photos with categories and captions, plus a handover checklist.

Panel and inverter plates

AI reads PV panel labels and inverter rating plates for you to check.

Roof design

Roof layout, panel placement and roof load checks, with a product library. AI reads datasheets for panels, rails and hooks.

DNO paperwork and tracking

  • G98, G99 and G100 forms prepared from the job. For G98 and G99 solar and battery applications where every device is on the ENA device register, and EV chargers, under 17kW per phase, you review the application and press Submit to send it to ENA Connect Direct from the app. G100 or export-limited setups, and changes to existing applications, still use the prepared forms and a draft email to the DNO, which you check and send yourself
  • A single line diagram drawn from the devices, and a site plan on an OpenStreetMap base with the boundary and equipment markers
  • A draft email to the DNO that you open in your own mail program and attach the pack to
  • Searches the ENA register for inverters, batteries and other generation devices, and fills in the ENA reference, compliance status, kW, phases and G98/G99 type-test status where the field is blank, for you to check
  • DNO applications have their own menu, with every application tracked in one place and a dated history

Direct submission to ENA Connect Direct is live for G98 and G99 solar and battery applications where every device is on the ENA device register, and EV chargers, under 17kW per phase. You review the application and submit it from the app. G100 or export-limited setups, and changes to existing applications, still use the prepared forms and a draft email to the DNO, which you check and send yourself.

Quote to invoice on the same job

  • Quotes, jobs, supplier bills, purchase orders and invoices next to the paperwork
  • Upload up to 25 supplier invoice PDFs at once and they're read into bills for you to review
  • Send invoices and bills to Xero, see payment status come back, and keep contacts in sync both ways
  • Leads spots solar customers without a battery in your own records

Questions

Does CircuitHQ do MCS paperwork?+

Yes. Each solar job has a guided 13-stage MCS pipeline with clause-referenced checklists (MIS 3002 Issue 6.0), RECC contract paperwork, QMS registers, an assessment-ready view and an assessment export. It keeps a record of the MCS certificate registration; the certificate itself comes from MCS or your certification body.

Is CircuitHQ approved by MCS?+

No. CircuitHQ is independent software and isn't endorsed by MCS, NAPIT, RECC, the ENA or any DNO. It helps you keep your paperwork together; your certification body still assesses your business.

Does it do G98 and G99 forms?+

Yes. It prepares G98, G99 and G100 forms from the job. For G98 and G99 solar and battery applications where every device is on the ENA device register, and EV chargers, under 17kW per phase, you review the application and submit it to ENA Connect Direct from the app. G100 or export-limited setups, and changes to existing applications, still use the prepared forms and a draft email to the DNO, which you check and send yourself.

What MCS paperwork does a solar job need?+

Typically a site survey, system design, performance estimate, quotation and contract, the DNO notification or application, commissioning record, handover pack and the MCS certificate registration. Our MCS paperwork checklist goes through it stage by stage. Always check the current MCS standards and your certification body for the full list.
